Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty

Likewize Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 111 399 752) trading as Likewize (“Likewize") offers a Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty on the terms set out in this warranty document in relation to each product supplied through the website: https://www.accessories.optus.com.au ("Likewize Website") and delivered to you (“Product”).

Likewize’s warranty obligations to you under the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty are subject to the Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The benefits to you given by the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you have under a law in relation to the goods to which the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty relates.

What is included in the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty?

Likewize warrants each Product against defects in materials and workmanship, when used for normal personal use, for twenty-four (24) months from the date of delivery of the Product to you.

What is not included in the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty?

The Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty does not extend to:

  • damage caused to the Product by accident, abuse, earthquake, fire, liquid contact, misuse, or other external cause or event
  • damage caused by you or a third party repairing, servicing, or otherwise opening / tampering with the Product;
  • the Product if it has been repaired or modified in any way after Likewize delivers it to you;
  • defects caused by normal wear and tear or ageing of the Product;
  • any software supplied on the Product;
  • consumable parts of the Product such as protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time unless such defect is caused due to a defect in materials or workmanship;
  • cosmetic damage to the Product such as scratches, dents and broken plastic unless such defect is caused due to a defect in materials or workmanship;
  • damage that is caused to the Product by use of accessories or additional hardware with your Product;
  • a product in respect of which you make a claim if the identifying number or other serial number (if any) has been defaced or removed from the Product;
  • a product in respect of which you make a claim for which you cannot verify that you purchased the product from the Likewize Website by providing proof of purchase of your product from the Likewize Website; or
  • a product you have procured from Likewize other than in accordance with Likewize’s Terms and Conditions of Supply.

Likewize excludes all warranties and conditions which are not set out in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), or expressly provided to you in this Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty, or in Likewize’s Terms and Conditions of Supply provided by Likewize at the time the Product was sold to you.

Conditions of the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty

To be entitled to claim under the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty, the product you return to Likewize must be the same as the Product sold to you.

What Likewize will do if your Product is faulty or defective

Once Likewize receives and verifies that you have satisfied the conditions that entitle you to make a claim in respect of your Product under the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty, you are eligible for one (1) of the following:

  • a replacement product; or
  • a refund for the original purchase price (plus applicable taxes).

If you elect to receive a replacement product, Likewize will replace your Product with an alternative product when you make a claim under the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty.

When Likewize provides you with a replacement product or refund for the original purchase price (plus applicable taxes), ownership of your returned Product will be immediately transferred to Likewize.

What you must do to be entitled to claim the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty

To make a claim under the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty, you must, when you discover the fault or defect in workmanship or materials with your Product:

  • contact Likewize by phone on 1300 773 777 or by e-mail at optus.accessories@likewize.com to request a Return Authorisation (“RA”);
  • supply Likewize with the identifying number or other serial number (if any) of your Product or the order number or invoice number from when you purchased the Product and proof of purchase;
  • if applicable to your Product, remove all personal data from your Product, including any codes, passwords, locks and perform a factory reset of the Product. If such locks are not removed from your Product, Likewize will not be able to validate your Product and process your claim under the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty. In this case the Product will be returned to you at your cost.

The Likewize contact centre will issue to you a RA based on the information in your request. Once a RA has been issued you will be sent a recovery post satchel and instructions on how to return your Product or you will be contacted to organize a collection of the Product

Your responsibilities when making a claim under the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty

If applicable, you should regularly backup your Product to avoid losing the information stored on it in the event of a defect. You will need to backup any information that you have stored on your Product and would like to keep before making a claim under the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty. If your claim is accepted by Likewize, whether or not you have removed all personal data or performed a factory reset of your Product, your Product will be data wiped and will not be returned to you.

If Likewize determines that the product returned to Likewize is not eligible for a claim under the Likewize 24-Month Limited Warranty, you will be responsible for the reasonable costs of return of the product to you.
